Head of the Police Department
The head of the Police Department is Police Director Birgit Buchholz.
The head of the department consists of the management staff and includes the areas of authority strategy and controlling as well as the area of press and public relations.
Among other things, the management staff draw up the authority's security programme and security balance sheet and initiate concepts for quality assurance and improvement.
The Press and Public Relations department is responsible in particular for providing information to and working with the media to inform the public about police operations and measures, organizing and holding press conferences and processing media inquiries.
