Right of assembly
Public assemblies or processions must be registered with the competent authority in good time in accordance with Section 14 of the Assembly Act. This means that they must be registered with the competent authority at least 48 hours before they are announced. The registration deadline is therefore not based on the start of the assembly/procession itself, but on the time from which the event is to be publicly advertised or made known (internet, notices, print media). The registration must also state which person is to be responsible for leading the assembly or procession. You can register the assembly quickly and easily by e-mail or send the registration form by post or fax. You can find the corresponding application form in the download area.
We will be happy to answer any other questions you may have about holding a meeting on request. The contact persons of the ZA 1.1 department of the Rhein-Berg district police authority are at your disposal. Kreis are at your disposal.
